For several years now, the Nguon festival has included non-traditional activities allowing the general public to discover the cultural diversity of Noun in particular, and of Cameroon in general. A site is dedicated to host all these cultural activities of Nguon: The Nguon Village.

Located at the entrance of the city of Foumban, this space of 25 hectares and developed on 8 hectares for the festivities. A few days before the beginning of the activities, the Nguon village shines with the colors of the sponsors’ and partners’ flags that are strewn along the road. Everything is well organized to make a great party at this place.

Two days later, it is the locality of NJIMOM to welcome in turn, another sporting activity. This is the mini marathon Njimom-Foumban. This course follows the path taken by the Bamoun ancestors (Nchare Yen and his companions) to settle in Foumban. This mini marathon sees the presence of more than 300 athletes from all corners of Cameroon. An activity also dominated by traditional songs and dances. The kick-off is launched by the King, accompanied by administrative authorities. The winners are awarded in front of the King, with whom they take a family photo.
